Abstract
According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the corn variety designated CV332045. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CV332045, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CV332045 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing plants of variety CV332045 with plants of another variety, such as another inbred line. The invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of plants of variety CV332045.
Claims24
A seed of corn variety CV332045, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV332045 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10868.
A plant of corn variety CV332045, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV332045 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10868.
A method of producing a plant of corn variety CV332045 comprising an added desired trait, the method comprising introducing a transgene conferring the desired trait into a plant of corn variety CV332045, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV332045 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10868.
A method of introducing a single locus conversion into corn variety CV332045 comprising:
- (a) crossing a plant of variety CV332045 with a second plant comprising a desired single locus to produce F1 progeny plants, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV332045 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10868;
- (b) selecting F1 progeny plants that have the single locus to produce selected F1 progeny plants;
- (c) crossing the selected progeny plants with at least a first plant of variety CV332045 to produce backcross progeny plants;
- (d) selecting at least a first backcross progeny plant that has the single locus to produce selected backcross progeny plants;
- and
- (e) repeating steps (c) and (d) three or more times in succession to produce selected fourth or higher backcross progeny plants that comprise the single locus and otherwise comprise essentially all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of corn variety CV332045 when grown in the same environmental conditions.
A plant of corn variety CV332045, further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein the plant otherwise comprises essentially all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of corn variety CV332045, and wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV332045 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10868.
A method of producing a progeny plant derived from the corn variety CV332045, the method comprising crossing a plant of the corn variety CV332045 with a corn plant of a second variety to produce at least a first progeny plant, wherein a sample of seed of corn variety CV332045 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10868.
