Abstract
The present invention relates to zcytor17lig polynucleotide, polypeptide and anti-zcytor17 antibody molecules. The zcytor17lig is a novel cytokine. The polypeptides may be used within methods for stimulating the immune system, and proliferation and/or development of hematopoietic cells in vitro and in vivo. The present invention also includes methods for producing the protein, uses therefor and antibodies thereto.
Claims25
An isolated antibody or antibody fragment thereof that specifically binds to a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 38 to 152 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (b) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 27 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (c) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 24 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- and
- (d) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 1 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated mixture of polyclonal antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically bind to a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 38 to 152 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (b) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 27 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (c) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 24 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- and
- (d) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 1 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated antibody or antibody fragment thereof that specifically binds an epitope of a polypeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO:2, wherein the antibody or antibody fragment blocks or reduces the binding of a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) the polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 38 to 152 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (b) the polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 27 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- (c) the polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 24 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2;
- and
- (d) the polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 1 to 164 as shown in SEQ ID NO:2
- to its receptor.
An isolated antibody or antibody fragment thereof, wherein the antibody or antibody fragment specifically binds to a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 54 to 59 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (b) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 129 to 134 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (c) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 35 to 40 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (d) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 33 to 38 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (e) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 126 to 131 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- and
- (f) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 113 to 118 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
An isolated antibody or antibody fragment thereof that specifically binds a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide encoding amino acids 27 to 164 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein the polypeptide is purified from a cell culture.
An isolated antibody or antibody fragment thereof that specifically binds to a polypeptide whose amino acid sequence consists of a portion of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein the portion is at least 30 amino acids in length.
An isolated mixture of polyclonal antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically bind to a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 54 to 59 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (b) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 129 to 134 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (c) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 35 to 40 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (d) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 33 to 38 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (e) the polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 126 to 131 of SEQ ID NO:
