Abstract
The use of acetyl L-carnitine or one of its pharmaceutically acceptable salts is described for the preparation of a medicament and/or dietetic product for the treatment of fibromyalgic syndrome.
Claims3
A method of treating fibromyalgia, consisting of administering an effective amount of a medicament consisting of acetyl L-carnitine or one of its pharmaceutically acceptable salts and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers and/or excipients to a patient in need thereof, wherein said effective amount is 1.5 g per day, wherein for the first two weeks of treatment administration of said effective amount consists of administering daily 500 mg intramuscularly once a day and 500 mg orally twice a day.
