Abstract
The invention provides seed and plants of the pepper line designated SBR28-1220. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of pepper line SBR28-1220, and to methods for producing a pepper plant produced by crossing a plant of pepper line with itself or with another pepper plant, such as a plant of another line. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates to parts of a plant of pepper line SBR28-1220, including the fruit and gametes of such plants.

A seed of pepper line SBR28-1220, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-9369.
A tissue culture of regenerable cells of pepper line SBR28-1220, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-9369.
A method of vegetatively propagating a plant of pepper line SBR28-1220 comprising the steps of:
- (a) collecting tissue capable of being propagated from a plant of pepper line SBR28-1220, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-9369;
- (b) cultivating said tissue to obtain proliferated shoots;
- and
- (c) rooting said proliferated shoots to obtain rooted plantlets.
A method of producing a plant of pepper line SBR28-1220, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-9369, comprising an added desired trait, the method comprising introducing a transgene conferring the desired trait into a plant of pepper line SBR28-1220.
