Abstract
Compositions and methods for the treatment of malignancy and chronic viral infection are disclosed.

A method for treating a cancer in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to said patient, concurrently or sequentially, a therapeutically effective amount of at least one indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitor and at least one chemotherapeutic agent, wherein said IDO inhibitor is methyl-TH-DL-trp.
A method for treating a cancer in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to said patient, concurrently or sequentially, a therapeutically effective amount of at least one indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitor and at least one chemotherapeutic agent, wherein said IDO inhibitor is 1-methyl-DL-tryptophan, wherein said cancer is breast cancer, and wherein said chemotherapeutic agent is cisplatin.
