Abstract
Compounds of formula (Ia): wherein R1, R2, R3, R4a, R4b, R5 and R6 are defined herein, as well as other indene derivatives are disclosed herein. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds and methods of using the compounds are also disclosed.
Claims22
A compound of formula (Ia):
- wherein:
- the A, C and D rings are each fully saturated;
- C1, C4, C11, C12, C15 and C16 are each substituted with two hydrogens;
- C9 and C14 are each substituted with one hydrogen;
- R1 is —OH;
- R2 is —CH2OH;
- R3 is —CH2NH2;
- R4a and R4b together form methylene;
- R5 is methyl;
- and
- R6 is hydrogen;
- as a single stereoisomer, a mixture of stereoisomers, or as a racemic mixture of stereoisomers;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
