Abstract
Phase change inks comprising a carrier and a colorant composition including a basic dye component and an acid dye component providing an internal salt composition wherein at least one of the basic dye component, the acid dye component, or both the basic dye component and the acid dye component comprises a waxy moiety.

A phase change ink composition comprising a phase change ink carrier and a colorant composition having a basic dye component and an acid dye component providing an internal salt composition;
- wherein the basic dye component comprises a compound of the formula;
