Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of treating or preventing atherosclerosis comprising administering to a mammal in need of such a treatment a) an antigen which has been used to activate in vitro a Tri cell population originating from said mammal, and b) the TO cell population activated by said antigen, said TO cell population being obtained from a CD4+ T lymphocyte population of said mammal.
Claims17
A method of treating or limiting the development of atherosclerosis comprising administering sequentially, simultaneously or separately to a mammal in need of such a treatment:
- a) a Tr1 cell population obtained from a CD4+ T lymphocyte population of the mammal, wherein the Tr1 cell population has been activated in vitro in the presence of an antigen, wherein the antigen is selected from the group consisting of a non-allergic food antigen and a non-pathogenic bacterial antigen, and
- b) the antigen which has been used to activate the Tr1 cell population, wherein the antigen is administered via a subcutaneous route.
