Abstract
The present invention is concerned with novel sulfonamides of formula I wherein R1, R2, Ar, Hetaryl, m and n are as described in the description and claims. The compounds are orexin receptor antagonists, useful in the treatment of disorders, in which orexin pathways are involved.

A compound of formula I-1,
- wherein
- R1 is halogen;
- R2 is halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl substituted by halogen, lower alkoxy substituted by halogen or phenyl;
- Ar is aryl or heteroaryl;
- n is 0, 1 or 2;
- and
- m is 0, 1 or 2;
- or a pharmaceutically suitable acid addition salt, optically pure enantiomer, racemate or diastereomeric mixture thereof.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula I-1
- wherein
- R1 is halogen;
- R2 is halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl substituted by halogen, lower alkoxy substituted by halogen or phenyl;
- Ar is aryl or heteroaryl;
- n is 0, 1 or 2;
- and
- m is 0, 1 or 2;
- or a pharmaceutically suitable acid addition salt, optically pure enantiomer, racemate or diastereomeric mixture thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
