Abstract
Polyurea compounds are prepared by reacting amines and polyisoyanates in the presence of a liquid diluent in a high-pressure impingement mixing device under conditions sufficient to produce polyurea compounds having the consistency of a powder and in which diluent is dispersed.
Claims8
A polyurea particle having interstices in which lubricating oil is encapsulated, said particle having the consistency of a powder and a density of less than 6.5 lbs/gal.
A polyurea particle having interstices in which lubricating oil is encapsulated, said particle having the consistency of a powder and a specific surface area of more than 20 m2/g.
A polyurea particle having interstices in which lubricating oil is encapsulated, said particle having a particle size that is at least 10 microns and less than 700 microns, a density of less than 6.5 lbs/gal, a specific surface area of more than 20 m2/g, and the consistency of a powder.
A polyurea particle having interstices in which lubricating oil is encapsulated, id particle having a particle size that is at least 10 microns and less than 700 microns, a density of less than 5.75 lbs/gal, a specific surface area of more than 32 m2/g, and the consistency of a powder.
A polyurea grease comprising a polyurea particle having interstices in which lubricating oil is encapsulated, said particle having a particle size that is at least 10 microns and less than 700 microns, a density of less than 6.5 lbs/gal, a specific surface area of more than 20 m2/g, and the consistency of a powder, wherein the polyurea particle is blended with a lubricating oil.
