Abstract
In a particular embodiment, a particulate material includes alumina hydrate. The particulate material has a 500 psi Compaction Volume Ratio of at least about 4.0 cc/cc.
Claims27
A particulate material in the form of agglomerates comprising metal oxide coated alumina hydrate, the particulate material having a 500 psi Compaction Volume Ratio of at least about 6.0 cc/cc and a 100 psi Compaction Volume Ratio of at least 10.0 cc/cc.
A particulate material in the form of agglomerates comprising metal oxide coated alumina hydrate, the particulate material having a 500 psi Compaction Volume Ratio of at least about 6.0 cc/cc.
A particulate material comprising agglomerated particles of silica coated alumina hydrate formed by precipitation of a silicate compound on alumina hydrate particles, the particulate material having a 500 psi Compaction Volume Ratio of at least 6.0 cc/cc.
