Claims9
A container cover comprising a flexible body having a first portion that can be stretched over a mouth of a container and a second portion providing a periphery around said first portion that can contract against the sides of a container on which the container cover is placed to hold the cover in position, wherein the first portion when stretched over the mouth of the container has an extension forming an area of slack for the container cover to allow said container cover to expand as a result of increased pressure within the container, with the first portion also including an aperture to receive a tube for withdrawing contents from said container, and a venting system, the venting system allowing airflow at least out of the container for balancing the pressure inside and outside the container, whilst simultaneously preventing spillage of the contents, wherein the venting system is provided by one or more vent apertures in addition to the aperture for receiving the tube and wherein the aperture for receiving the tube or the vent apertures in the first portion are each bounded by one or more areas of thickened material.
