Abstract
Intergrated systems and associated method for manipulating tissues and anatomical or other structures in medical application for the purpose of treating diseases or disorders or other purposes. In one aspect, the system includes a delivery device configured to deploy and implant anchor device for such purposes.
Claims25
A system for implanting an anchor assembly, comprising:
- an anchor delivery device having at least one anchor assembly in the anchor delivery device, the anchor assembly including a first anchor member, a second anchor member, a connector joining the first and second anchor members, and a retractable needle assembly, the retractable needle assembly being operatively associated with the first actuator;
- wherein the anchor delivery device includes a first actuator that accomplishes implanting the first anchor, a second actuator that accomplishes assembly of the second anchor and a third actuator that cuts the connector to a desired length;
- wherein actuation of the first actuator accomplishes gaining access to a first site with the needle projecting laterally from the delivery device and deployment of the first anchor member independently of the second anchor member.
