Abstract
The invention relates to an extraction method for isolating target molecules from a sample using a microfluidic carrier.
Claims40
A method for isolating target molecules from a sample, comprising:
- (a) directing a sample comprising target molecules to be isolated through a microfluidic carrier having an array of a plurality of different receptors which are immobilized on or in the carrier and each of which are immobilized in different positions, wherein only a single receptor species is immobilized in one predetermined position, under conditions under which target molecules in said sample can specifically bind to said receptors,
- (b) removing unbound material of the sample from the carrier,
- (c) eluting the target molecules bound to the carrier in parallel and,
- (d) collecting said eluted target molecules, wherein a set of different hybridization probes is used for isolation of a singular target nucleic acid, and wherein the different hybridization probes are specific for the single particular target nucleic acid.
