Peptides comprising a Lelystad Agent-specific amino acid sequence. Lelystad Agent-specific antibodies.

A method of producing an immunogenic composition, the method comprising:
- introducing a purified preparation containing a polynucleotide encoding at least one polypeptide encoded by one or more open reading frames (ORFs) of ORFs 1-7 of a mystery swine disease virus wherein the polypeptide is one of more of the polypeptides selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- SEQ ID NO:3;
- SEQ ID NO:4;
- SEQ ID NO:
- 5;
- SEQ ID NO:6;
- SEQ ID NO:7;
- SEQ ID NO:8 and SEQ ID NO:9, into a suitable host cell,
- culturing said suitable host cell;
- and
- isolating one of the following therefrom;
- a suitable host cell containing said polypeptide;
- viral protein;
- or viral polynucleic acid.
A method of producing an immunogenic composition, the method comprising:
- introducing a purified preparation containing a polynucleotide encoding at least one polypeptide encoded by one or more open reading frames (ORFS) of a mystery swine disease virus that has nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, into a suitable host cell,
- culturing said suitable host cell;
- and
- isolating one of the following therefrom;
- a suitable host cell containing said polypeptide;
- viral protein;
- or viral polynucleic acid.
