Abstract
Higher diamondoid derivatives capable of taking part in polymerization reactions are disclosed as well as intermediates to these derivatives, polymers formed from these derivatives and methods for preparing the polymers.

A higher diamondoid derivative containing a covalently-attached moiety replacing a hydrogen which is a polymerizable moiety or which can be converted to a polymerizable moiety.
A higher diamondoid intermediate containing a covalently-attached moiety replacing a hydrogen which is a polymerizable moiety or which can be converted to a polymerizable moiety.
