Abstract
Floor panels (1, 1′) are provided with a mechanical locking system including a flexible locking element 15 in a locking groove 14 which during a horizontal motion is displaced vertically.
Claims13
A floor panel having a front face, and an edge portion presenting a sideward open groove in which a flexible tongue formed as a separate part is received, the sideward open groove having an inner wall extending from a bottom of the sideward open groove to a top of the sideward open groove, wherein the tongue comprises protrusions at a first long edge of the tongue, the protrusions facing the inner wall of the sideward open groove,
- wherein the protrusions are arranged in the groove to be capable of bending in a plane parallel to the front face of the panel, and
- wherein the protrusions protrude substantially in said plane.
