Abstract
There are disclosed antibody molecules containing at least on CDR derived from a mouse monoclonal antibody having specificity for human KDR. There is also disclosed a CDR grafted antibody wherein at least one of the CDRs is a hybrid CDR. Further disclosed are DNA sequences encoding the chains of the antibody molecules, vectors, transformed host cells and uses of the antibody molecules in the treatment of diseases in which VEGF and/or KDR are implicated.
Claims11
A DNA sequence which encodes the heavy and/or light chain of an antibody molecule having specificity for human KDR, comprising:
- a) a heavy chain wherein the variable domain comprises a CDR having the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:1 for CDRH1, SEQ ID NO:2 or residues 50-66 of SEQ ID NO:
- 15 for CDRH2 or SEQ ID NO:3 for CDRH3 and a light chain wherein the variable domain comprises a CDR having the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:4 for CDRL1, SEQ ID NO:5 for CDRL2 or SEQ ID NO:6 for CDRL3;
- or
- b) a heavy chain wherein the variable domain comprises a CDR having the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:1 for CDRH1, SEQ ID NO:2 or residues 50-66 of SEQ ID NO:
- 15 for CDRH2 and SEQ ID NO:3 for CDRH3 and a light chain wherein the variable domain comprises a CDR having the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:4 for CDRL1, SEQ ID NO:5 for CDRL2 and SEQ ID NO:6 for CDRL3;
- or
- c) the heavy chain variable region gH3 (SEQ ID NO:
- 15) and light chain variable region gL3 (SEQ ID NO:
- 16).
A DNA sequence which encodes the heavy and/or light chain of an antibody molecule having specificity for human KDR, comprising:
- a light chain comprising the sequence given in amino acids 22 to 235 of SEQ ID NO:11 and a heavy chain comprising the sequence given in SEQ ID NO:57.
A host cell transformed with the vector of 8.
