Abstract
The invention relates to a composition for producing foams, in particular for mineral oil and natural gas production.
Claims17
A composition for producing foams from liquids comprising
- a) a foamer selected from the group consisting of sulfates, sulfonates, phosphates, carboxylates, sulfosuccinates, betaines, quaternary ammonium salts, amine oxides, amine ethoxylates, amide ethoxylates, acid ethoxylates, alkyl glucosides, EO-PO block copolymers, and long-chain fatty alcohol ethoxylates;
- and
- b) a cosurfactant different from said foamer and having the structure x-y, wherein
- x is a surfactant alcohol having from 6 to 12 carbon atoms;
- and
- y is an alkylene oxide block having from 5 to 25 alkylene oxide units.
