Reaction vessel and reaction device

A reaction device, comprising:

• a cylindrical reaction catalyst chamber comprising a metal monolithic reactor on which is disposed a target reaction catalyst for a target reaction, the metal monolithic reactor comprising:
• a plurality of longitudinal cells with an opening ratio of from about 40% to about 95%, as measured in a cross-sectional surface orthogonal to the longitudinal direction,
• a plurality of stacked spirally wound monolithic sheets, each of which comprises a pleated substrate having a plurality of uniform pleats formed therein and forming an internal barrier between cells, and
• a side substrate attached to one or both sides of the pleated substrate,
• wherein the pleated substrate or the side substrate has a plurality of holes;
• a tubular oxidation catalyst chamber surrounding the reaction catalyst chamber, wherein the oxidation catalyst chamber comprises an oxidation reaction catalyst for the oxidation of a combustible fuel therein;
• a fuel preheating unit comprising a tube circumferentially surrounding the oxidation catalyst chamber, configured for pre-heating a fuel with a heat from the oxidation catalyst chamber;
• and
• a water preheating unit comprising a tube shape circumferentially surrounding the oxidation fuel preheating unit, configured for pre-heating water with heat from the oxidation catalyst chamber.
