Abstract
A method of attaching flexible tubing used in implementations such as drying buildings after flooding or irrigation. The method comprises forming a hole in a first line of flexible tubing, positioning a second piece of flexible tubing about a connector, and positioning the connector into the interior of the first opening with the second tubing positioned there about so that the pressure in the first tubing presses the connector against the inner wall thereby capturing the second tubing between the connector and the inner wall of the first tubing.
Claims9
A method of connecting a first piece of flexible plastic tubing to a second piece of flexible plastic tubing, the method comprising:
- pressurizing the first piece of plastic tubing;
- forming a hole in the outer wall of the pressurized first piece of plastic tubing;
- positioning the end of the second piece of plastic tubing through an aperture of a connector;
- inserting the connector and the second piece of plastic tubing positioned through the aperture into the hole in the outer wall of the pressurized first piece of plastic tubing;
- and
- positioning the connector with the second piece of plastic tubing positioned through the aperture so that the pressure within the first piece of plastic tubing urges the connector against the inner wall of the first piece of plastic tubing and so that the second piece of plastic tubing is in fluid communication with the first piece of plastic tubing.
