Abstract
Nucleotide sequences and the corresponding polypeptide sequences implicated in the regulation of angiogenesis are identified. The nucleotide and polypeptide sequences, or pharmaceutical compositions made from such sequences, can be used in the clinical study of the angiogenesis process, the prognosis, diagnosis and treatment of pathologies linked to angiogenesis, and in the implementation of pharmacological, pharmacogenomic and drug identification trials.

A composition comprising:
- a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier selected from the group consisting of:
- phosphate buffered saline (PBS), polyethylene glycol, glycerin, propylene glycol, an antibacterial agent, an antioxidant, a chelating agent, an acetate buffer, a citrate buffer, an agent for the adjustment of tonicity, a stabilizing or preservative agent, and combinations thereof;
- and,
- at least one active agent that is a polypeptide wherein the polypeptide is selected from the group consisting of:
- the polypeptide identified by SEQ ID NO:
- 6 and the polypeptide identified by SEQ ID NO:
- 32.
