Abstract
The invention is directed to a reactor system comprising at least one reactor wherein makeup water for said system is preheated by water/steam exiting said reactor. In a preferred embodiment the system comprises plural reactors and the invention provides for each reactor to independently achieve isothermal operating conditions.
Claims9
In a reactor system comprising at least one reactor and a steam drum and having a heat exchange fluid circulating via a first conduit from said reactor to said steam drum and a second conduit from said steam drum to said reactor, and wherein a portion of said fluid is lost from said reactor system and makeup fluid is added to said reactor system via a makeup fluid conduit, said steam drum having contained therein a liquid phase and a vapor phase above said liquid phase, the improvement comprising adding said makeup fluid conduit and said first conduit into the same phase of said steam drum for controlling the reactor temperature.
In a reactor system comprising at least one reactor and a steam drum and having a heat exchange fluid circulating via a first conduit from said reactor to said steam drum and a second conduit from said steam drum to said reactor, and wherein a portion of said fluid is lost from said reactor system and makeup fluid is added to said reactor system, the improvement comprising adding said makeup fluid to said first conduit for controlling the reactor temperature.
