Abstract
A reverse mode liquid crystal display device, including: a first substantially transparent substrate having an electrically conductive material associated therewith; a second substrate having an electrically conductive material associated therewith; an insulating layer associated with at least one of the first and second substrates; and a liquid crystal medium contained within a chamber positioned between the first and second substrates which includes an organometallic chelate; and a nematic, negative dielectric anisotropic liquid crystal mixture.
Claims23
A reverse mode liquid crystal display device, comprising:
- a first substantially transparent substrate having an electrically conductive material associated therewith;
- a second substrate having an electrically conductive material associated therewith;
- an insulating layer associated with at least one of the first and second substrates;
- and
- a liquid crystal medium contained within a chamber positioned between the first and second substrates which comprises:
- an organometallic chelate;
- and
- a nematic, negative dielectric anisotropic liquid crystal mixture.
