Abstract
An absorbent article including a cover layer, a barrier layer and an absorbent system arranged between the cover layer and the barrier layer, the absorbent article being drapeable and possessing the absorbency attributes required of a sanitary napkin.

An absorbent article comprising:
- a cover layer;
- a barrier layer;
- and
- an absorbent system arranged between said cover layer and said barrier layer, said absorbent system comprising superabsorbent polymer (SAP);
- wherein said absorbent article has a drape angle at x=50 of less than 80° and a drape angle at x=100 of less than 50° and said absorbent article has an absorbency index (AI) of greater than about 1.5.

- a barrier layer;
- and
- an absorbent system arranged between said cover layer and said barrier layer, said absorbent system comprising superabsorbent polymer (SAP);
- wherein said absorbent article has a drape angle at x=50 of less than 80° and a drape angle at x=100 of less than 50° and said absorbent article has an absorbency index (AI) of greater than about 1.5;

- wherein said absorbent article has a thickness less than about 2.5 mm.
