Abstract
A power supply comprises an AC-DC converter circuit, which comprises a first capacitor and a second capacitor. The converter also comprises a rectifier circuit connected to the first and second capacitor and operative to charge both the first and the second capacitor and to discharge the first capacitor independently of the second capacitor. The power supply also comprises an acoustic transformer.
Claims7
A power supply, comprising:
- an AC-DC converter circuit, comprising:
- a first capacitor and a second capacitor;
- and
- a rectifier circuit connected to the first and second capacitor and operative to charge both the first and the second capacitor and to discharge the first capacitor independently of the second capacitor, wherein the first capacitor is connected in parallel with a series combination of the second capacitor and a diode;
- a switching apparatus operative to engage a primary power signal flow path that provides power from the first capacitor until an output voltage reaches a threshold voltage, wherein the primary power signal flow path comprises a first driver and a secondary power signal flow path comprises a second driver;
- an acoustic transformer;
- and
- an output rectifier connected to the acoustic transformer, wherein the first driver is selectively connected to the acoustic transformer.
