## Abstract

Provided is a cell growth inhibitor that can be used for treating diseases based on abnormal cell proliferation, and in particular cancer. The cell growth inhibitor contains an anti-glypican 3 antibody as an active ingredient.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of treating hepatic cancer comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition containing an anti-glypican 3 antibody as an active ingredient.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the anti-glypican 3 antibody has cytotoxic activity.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the cytotoxic activity is antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) activity or complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) activity.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the anti-glypican 3 antibody is a human antibody, humanized antibody or a chimeric antibody.
