Entertainment management interactive system using a computer network

Apparatus for sports management by a remote party of an entity owning at least one sports player and having a database for the sports management comprising:

• a program to relate historical data of a player together with current assessment data related to that player;
• a computer communication network for data communication being between a central database processing resource reactive with the program and at least one remote party;
• means for receiving an access request message from a remote party via the communications link;
• means for transmitting an access enabling message to the remote party via the communications link wherein the remote party is authorized to access the database, the access enabling message permitting the remote party to access the database and access designated data from the database, the data in the database including current data relating to the player and historical data related to the player being accessed;
• means for compiling a report from the accessed database, the report including the current and historical data;
• and
• the communication network being for transmitting the compiled report of the assessment data of the player to the remote party;
• the computer communications network providing the remote party with the ability in real time or near real time to submit a decision to a central database, the decision being used to effect the status of said at least one sports player;
• wherein said means for receiving an access request, said means for transmitting an access enabling message, and said means for compiling a report comprise one or more particular machines, said one or more particular machines comprising one or more physical computing devices.

Apparatus for sports management by a remote party comprising:

• a screen used by a remote party for monitoring, using a computer, both current data for a player, and historical data about the player, the data being retained on a central database;
• the computer being for analyzing the current data and the historical data related to the player based on predetermined characteristics;
• a communications network between a central database processing resource and the remote party for communicating the analysis of the combined data with the remote party;
• and
• the computer providing the remote user with the ability in real time or near real time to submit a decision to a central database, the decision being used to effect the status of said player.

A system for managing sport comprising:

• a computer based communications network,
• a computer at a central database processing resource provider to receive through the network, current data for a player, the current data, and historical data about the player;
• a screen for monitoring, using a computer, both the current data of the player, and the historical data about the player, the screen being used by a remote user;
• a particular machine, said particular machine comprising a physical processor for analyzing the current data and the historical data based on predetermined characteristics;
• a computer for receiving, through the network, the analysis;
• and
• the remote user being capable in substantially real time or near real time after receiving the analysis to respond to the analysis and submit a decision to a central database, the decision being used to effect the status of said player.

A method of live event management by a remote party, the live event being transmitted to a remote party by a communications link, the live event being organized by an entity having a database for the management comprising:

• providing a central database processing resource of the event;
• communicating data between the central database processing resource and at least one remote party;
• receiving an access request message from the remote party via a communications link;
• transmitting an access enabling message to the remote party via the communications link wherein the remote party is authorized to access the database, the access enabling message permitting the remote party to access the database and access designated data from the database;
• transmitting data of the event to the remote party, and
• wherein the communication to the remote party is through a communication link, and wherein the remote party sends a response to the database, the response effecting the live event, the response being through a computer network, and being in substantially real or near real time in relation to the communication received by the remote user from the communications link;
• wherein said steps of communicating data, receiving an access request, transmitting an access enabling message, and transmitting data are performed on one or more particular machines, said one or more particular machines comprising one or more physical computing device.

A method of sports management by a remote party of an entity owning at least one sports player and having a database for the sports management comprising:

• relating a current database of a player together with a historical database related to that player;
• communicating the data between a central database processing resource and at least one remote party;
• receiving an access request message from the remote party via a communications link;
• transmitting an access enabling message to the remote party via the communications link wherein the remote party is authorized to access the database, the access enabling message permitting the remote party to access the database and access designated data from the database, the data in the database including historical data relating to the player with the current data related to that player being accessed;
• compiling a report from the accessed database, the report including the current data of a player together with the historical data related to that player;
• transmitting the compiled report of the data of the player to the remote party;
• and
• using a communications network between the central database processing resource and the remote party for locating the remote party in a seat associated with a live sports event such that the remote party views an actual live sports event associated with the database;
• wherein said steps of receiving an access request message, transmitting an access enabling message to the remote party, compiling a report from the accessed database, and transmitting the compiled report are performed on at least one particular machine, said at least one particular machine comprising at least one physical computer.

Apparatus for sports management by a remote party of an entity owning at least one sports player and having a database for the sports management comprising:

• a program to relate historical data of a player together with current assessment data related to that player;
• a computer communication network for data communication being between a central database processing resource reactive with the program and at least one remote party;
• means for receiving an access request message from a remote party via the communications link;
• means for transmitting an access enabling message to the remote party via the communications link wherein the remote party is authorized to access the database, the access enabling message permitting the remote party to access the database and access designated data from the database, the data in the database including current data relating to the player and historical data related to the player being accessed;
• means for compiling a report from the accessed database, the report including the current and historical data;
• the communication network being for transmitting the compiled report of the assessment data of the player to the remote party;
• and
• the remote party being located in a spectator seat to be present to view an actual sports event related to the data;
• wherein said means for receiving an access request, means for transmitting an access enabling message, and means for compiling a report comprise at least one particular machine, said at least one particular machine comprising at least one physical computer.

A method of live event management by a remote party, the live event being transmitted to a remote party by a communications link, the live event being organized by an entity owning having a database for the management comprising:

• providing a central database processing resource of the event;
• communicating data between the central database processing resource and at least one remote party;
• receiving an access request message from the remote party via a communications link;
• transmitting an access enabling message to the remote party via the communications link wherein the remote party is authorized to access the database, the access enabling message permitting the remote party to access the database and access designated data from the database;
• transmitting data of the event to the remote party;
• wherein the communication to the remote party is through a communication link, and wherein the remote party sends a response to the database, the response being through a computer network, and being in substantially real or near real time in relation to the communication received by the remote user from the communications link;
• and
• using a communications network between the central database processing resource and the remote party for locating the remote party in a seat associated with a live event such that the remote party views an actual live event associated with the database;
• wherein said steps of communicating data, receiving an access request message, transmitting an access enabling message, and transmitting data are performed on at least one particular machine, said at least one particular machine comprising at least one physical computer.

A method of substantially real time participation by a remote party in the conduct of an entertainment event, the entertainment event having a manager, a plurality of participants, and a database containing data relating to the entertainment event and the performers or participants, the method comprising the steps of:

• the remote party viewing data for a performer or participant in the entertainment event;
• the remote party analyzing the data related to the performer or participant based on one or more characteristics;
• transmitting data regarding a decision or event in connection with the entertainment event to the remote party;
• the remote party transmitting a decision from a remote terminal via a communications link to the database, the decision being at least one relating to a status of the performer or participant in the entertainment event, a financial reward to the performer or participant, a penalty to the performer or participant, or a choice of one of a plurality of responses to a query from the manager of the entertainment event;
• using a particular machine to receive said decision transmitted from said remote terminal and to affect the entertainment event in accordance with the decision, said particular machine comprising at least one physical computing device.

A method of substantially real time participation by a remote party in the judging of an artistic work, the artistic work having a creator, a manager and a database containing data relating to the artistic work and the creator, the method comprising the steps of:

• the remote party viewing data for the creator via a display on a computing device;
• the remote party analyzing data related to the creator based on one or more characteristics;
• transmitting data regarding a decision or event in connection with the artistic work to the remote party;
• and
• permitting the remote party to respond via the communications link to the database, the remote party transmitting a decision from a remote terminal via a communications link to the database, the decision being at least one relating to a status of the creator, a financial reward to the creator, a penalty to the creator, or a choice of one of a plurality of responses to a query from the manager.

A method of substantially real time participation by a remote party in the judging of an artistic work, the artistic work having a creator, a manager and a database containing data relating to the artistic work and the creator, the method comprising the steps of:

• the remote party viewing data for the creator via a display on a computing device;
• the remote party analyzing data related to the creator based on one or more characteristics;
• using a computer to transmit data regarding a decision or event in connection with the artistic work to the remote party;
• the remote party transmitting a decision from a remote terminal via a communications link to the database, the decision being at least one relating to a status of the creator, a financial reward to the creator, a penalty to the creator, or a choice of one of a plurality of responses to a query from the manager;
• and
• using the decision transmitted from the remote terminal to affect at least one of:
• said status of the creator, said financial reward to the creator, said penalty to the creator, or said choice of one of a plurality of responses to a query from the manager.
