Method for manufacturing high-frequency module device

A method of manufacturing a high-frequency module

• comprising the steps of:
• forming a high-frequency circuit unit on a dummy substrate, the high-frequency circuit unit including a plurality of wiring layers, each with a corresponding insulating layer, wherein at least two of the wiring layers include a passive element and wherein at least some of the wiring layers are electrically interconnected;
• mounting the high-frequency circuit unit on a surface of a circuit board having a connection part formed thereon and a plurality of wiring layers and wherein the dummy substrate is secured to the high-frequency circuit when the high-frequency circuit is mounted to the surface of the circuit board;
• and
• removing the dummy substrate from the high-frequency circuit unit and thereafter mounting a semiconductor integrated circuit to the side of the high-frequency circuit unit at which the dummy substrate was located;
• and further comprising forming a shield structure over the circuit board which covers the semiconductor integrated circuit and wherein a thermally conductive resin covers an uppermost surface of the high-frequency circuit unit and directly contacts the shield structure.
