Abstract
The present invention relates to antigenic polypeptides expressed by pathogenic microbes, including antigenic polypeptides encoded by the nucleic acid sequence of FIG. 1, vaccines comprising the antigenic polypeptides and therapeutic antibodies directed to the antigenic polypeptides.
Claims9
A medicament comprising an isolated antigenic polypeptide wherein the antigenic polypeptide consists of an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of:
- (i) SEQ ID NO:
- 10;
- (ii) an amino acid sequence encoded by SEQ ID NO:
- 9;
- and
- (iii) an amino acid sequence encoded by a nucleic acid sequence that is degenerate as a result of the genetic code to SEQ ID NO:
- 9.
A vaccine comprising at least one isolated antigenic polypeptide wherein the antigenic polypeptide consists of an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of:
- (i) SEQ ID NO:
- 10;
- (ii) an amino acid sequence encoded by SEQ ID NO:
- 9 and
- (iii) an amino acid sequence encoded by a nucleic acid sequence that is degenerate as a result of the genetic code to SEQ ID NO:
- 9.
A vaccine composition comprising an isolated antigenic polypeptide, wherein the isolated polypeptide is 30 amino acids long and comprises SEQ ID NO:
- 10.
