Abstract
The application disclose a method of preventing immune cells from binding to other cells, which includes contacting the immune cells and the other cells with a composition comprising Bst2 antagonist.
Claims8
A method of reducing inflammation in a subject suffering from asthma comprising administering a composition comprising a bone marrow stromal cell antigen 2 (Bst2) antagonist to a site of the inflammation, wherein said Bst2 antagonist comprises a soluble portion of Bst2, which comprises an extracellular portion of Bst2 or a fragment of the extracellular portion, in an amount effective to inhibit binding between a first leukocyte and a second leukocyte or an endothelial cell, wherein the extracellular portion is shown in amino acid positions 44 to 180 of SEQ ID NO:3.
A method of treating asthma in a subject comprising administering a composition comprising a bone marrow stromal cell antigen 2 (Bst2) antagonist to the person in need thereof, wherein said Bst2 antagonist comprises a soluble portion of Bst2, which comprises an extracellular portion of Bst2 or a fragment of the extracellular portion, in an amount effective to inhibit binding between a first leukocyte and a second leukocyte or an endothelial cell, wherein the extracellular portion is shown in amino acid positions 44 to 180 of SEQ ID NO:3.
