Telephone apparatus

A telephone apparatus comprising:

• a base unit;
• and
• a handset unit which is connected to the base unit by wireless communication,
• wherein the base unit includes memory means for storing therein operating guide data representing an operational method intended for additional installation of the handset unit and display means for displaying thereon the operating guide data,
• and wherein, at the time of additional installation of the handset unit, the handset unit transmits an extension command for effecting additional installation, and, when there is no response to the transmitted extension command from the base unit that response indicates a success, the base unit is operated in such a manner that the operating guide data stored in the memory means is displayed on the display means.

A telephone apparatus comprising:

• a base unit;
• and
• a handset unit which is connected to the base unit by wireless communication and includes memory means for storing therein operating guide data representing an operational method intended for additional installation of the handset unit and display means for displaying thereon the operating guide data,
• wherein, at the time of additional installation of the handset unit, the base unit transmits an extension command for effecting additional installation, and, when there is no response to the transmitted extension command from the handset unit that response indicates a success, the handset unit is operated in such a manner that the operating guide data stored in the memory means is displayed on the display means.

A telephone apparatus comprising:

• a base unit;
• and
