Brushless motor

A brushless motor comprising:

• a tubular stator case;
• a stator core fitted into the stator case;
• and
• a rotor rotatably supported via a bearing inside the stator core, wherein:
• the stator core includes a tubular yoke portion and a plurality of split cores which are detachably mounted on the tubular yoke portion;
• a plurality of dovetail grooves are formed in an inner peripheral surface of the yoke portion along an axial direction thereof at regular intervals;
• each split core has a coil bobbin which is a substantially rectangular tube shape and has a mounting hole so as to penetrate in a radial direction of the yoke portion, and a split tooth which is mounted into the mounting hole of the coil bobbin;
• a projection capable of fitting into each of the dovetail grooves is formed at one end of the split tooth so as to be fitted into the dovetail groove of the yoke portion;
• the coil bobbin has a winding portion around which a coil is wound, and flange portions which protrude outward from peripheral edges of both ends of the coil bobbin;
• and
• a clearance portion that receives a winding starting end of the coil is formed on an inner surface of a flange portion of the flange portions, the clearance portion has a reduced the thickness relative to a remaining portion of the flange portion.
