Abstract
A novel maize variety designated PHNTV and seed, plants and plant parts thereof. Methods for producing a maize plant that comprise crossing maize variety PHNTV with another maize plant. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into PHNTV through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. Hybrid maize seed, plant or plant part produced by crossing the variety PHNTV or a trait conversion of PHNTV with another maize variety. Inbred maize varieties derived from maize variety PHNTV, methods for producing other inbred maize varieties derived from maize variety PHNTV and the inbred maize varieties and their parts derived by the use of those methods.

Maize variety PHNTV, representative seed of said variety having been deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-10572.
A process of producing a conversion of maize variety PHNTV comprising at least one new trait, the process comprising:
- (a) crossing a plant of maize variety PHNTV, representative seed of which has been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-10572, with a plant of another maize variety that comprises at least one new trait to produce progeny seed;
- (b) harvesting and planting the progeny seed to produce at least one progeny plant of a subsequent generation, said progeny plant comprising the at least one new trait;
- (c) crossing the progeny plant with a plant of maize variety PHNTV to produce backcross progeny seed;
- (d) harvesting and planting the backcross progeny seed to produce at least one backcross progeny plant;
- (e) selecting a backcross progeny plant comprising the at least one new trait and the morphological characteristics of maize variety PHNTV, to produce at least one selected backcross progeny plant;
- and
- (f) repeating steps (c) through (e) for at least three additional generations to produce a converted plant of maize variety PHNTV, wherein the converted plant of maize variety PHNTV comprises the at least one new trait.
