Liquid, aqueous pharmaceutical compositions of factor VII polypeptides

An aqueous and pharmaceutically acceptable composition comprising

• (i) at least 0.01 mg/mL of a Factor VII polypeptide that exhibits substantially the same or improved biological activity as compared to wild type Factor VII;
• (ii) a buffering agent suitable for keeping pH of the composition in the range of about 4 to about 9;
• and
• (iii) a stabilizing composition comprising a benzamidine compound comprises the motif >N—C6H4—C(═N-Z1-R1)—NH-Z2-R2, wherein
• (a) C6H4 denotes a substituted benzene ring, and
• (b) Z1 and Z2 independently are selected from the group consisting of —O—, —S—, —NRH— and a single bond, where RH is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, aryl and arylmethyl, and R1 and R2 independently are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-6-alkyl, optionally substituted C2-6-alkenyl, optionally substituted aryl, and optionally substituted heterocyclyl, wherein
• —C═N-Z1-R1 optionally forms part of a heterocyclic ring,
• —C—NH-Z2-R2 optionally forms part of a heterocyclic ring, or
• —C(═N-Z1-R1)—NH-Z2-R2 optionally forms a hetercyclic ring wherein -Z-R1—R2-Z2 is a biradical.
