Abstract
Provided are radiolytically and metabolically stable metal complexes based on tetrathiol ligands useful for nuclear medical diagnostics and in endoradionuclide therapy. Methods for their preparation are also provided. The complexes can have a central ligand, Y, that can be 99mTcO, 186ReO, 188ReO, 99mTcN, 186ReN or 188ReN.
Claims6
Metal complexes based on tetrathiol ligands with the formula
- wherein
- each (CH—R1) represents a substituted or unsubstituted methylene-group and each R1 represents H, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, m and n represent the number of methylene groups and the sum of m and n is between 4 and 10,
- each R2 represents H, OR1 or NHR1,
- Y represents 4 times H, 99mTcO, 186ReO, 188ReO, 99mTcN, 186ReN, or 188ReN,
- X represents (CH)2, an unsubstituted amino group (N—H) or substituted amino group (N-Z), the guanidyl unit
- or a urea group
- wherein
- Z represents —(CH—R1)p-A, represents the number of methylene groups and is between 2 and 8, and
- A represents a couplable unit.
