Abstract
A vehicular marker lamp including a lamp cover that contains nanosized fluorescent material and light sources that excite the fluorescent material so as to cause the lamp cover to emit colored light.
Claims4
A vehicular marker lamp comprising:
- a housing having an open end in a direction of light irradiation, said housing for mounting in a motor vehicle;
- a lamp cover made of a colorless transparent material that contains nanosized fluorescent material therein, said lamp cover covering said open end of said housing;
- and
- light sources that excite the fluorescent material so as to cause the lamp cover to emit colored light;
- and wherein
- the lamp cover has an ultraviolet ray absorbing coating layer provided on an outside surface of said lamp cover;
- and
- the average particle size of the florescent material is 100 nm or smaller.
