Abstract
A sports glasses construction includes an eyeglass frame for semi-rimless lenses having a pair of channels for receiving a first pair of selectively removable lenses or lens adapter frames, and a pair of lens adapter frames having respective upper connection members sized and shaped to fit into the respective pair of channels in the eyeglass frame. The pair of lens adapters each has a lower portion sized and shaped to couple to a second respective pair of lenses leaving the lower edges of the lenses exposed to provide a semi-rimless construction.
Claims10
An eyeglass construction comprising in combination:
- (a) an eyeglass frame having a pair of channels for receiving lenses or lens adapter frames, and
- (b) a pair of lens adapters comprising semi-rimless adapter frames, each frame having on an upper portion thereof a connecting member adapted to fit into said respective channels, each adapter frame having a surface along a lower portion thereof configured to fit a curvature of a first lens pair and having an eyewire attachment for securing each respective lens in said pair to each said adapter frame, each adapter frame coupling to an upper portion of the periphery of each lens of said first lens pair to provide a semi-rimless construction.
A sports glasses construction comprising:
- (a) a frame having a pair of channels for receiving a first respective pair of lenses;
- and
- (b) a pair of lens adapters having
- (1) respective upper rib members sized and shaped to fit into said respective pair of channels in said frame;
- and
- (2) said pair of lens adapters having a lower portion sized and shaped to receive a second respective pair of lenses, said lenses engaging said lower portions of said adapter thereby providing a semi-rimless construction.
A sports glasses construction comprising:
- (a) a frame having at least a pair of channels for receiving a first respective pair of lenses;
- and
- (b) a pair of lens adapters having
- (1) respective upper rib members sized and shaped to fit into said respective pair of channels in said frame;
- and
- (2) said pair of lens adapters each having at least one attachment device for fastening to each of a pair of second lenses, said second lenses each having an upper peripheral edge engaged by a respective lens adapter and a lower exposed peripheral edge when fastened to said lens adapters.
