Abstract
A wireless network with multiple subscriber systems in a lobe pool may operate by determining a state of the wireless network, identifying a new condition, the new condition including a new demand condition or a new network health condition, determining whether the new condition has a threshold impact on operations of the wireless network or component subscriber systems of the wireless network, and if the threshold impact exists, reconfiguring the wireless network to accommodate the new condition.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- receiving a request to support an event in a first wireless network in a first configuration;
- identifying an impact of the request on the first wireless network;
- determining whether the impact of the request to support the event on the first wireless network is greater than a threshold;
- if the impact of the request to support the event is greater than the threshold, determining whether a subscriber system associated with the first wireless network may be instructed to join a second wireless network so that the impact of the request to support the event is less than the threshold;
- and
- if the subscriber system may be instructed to join the second wireless network, instructing the subscriber system to join the second wireless network.
3 more elements
A wireless network controller comprising:
- at least one processing device;
- a storage device storing instructions for causing the at least one processing device to:
- receive a request to support an event in a first wireless network in a first configuration;
- identify an impact of the request on the first wireless network;
- determine whether the impact of the request to support the event on the first wireless network is greater than a threshold;
- if the impact of the request to support the event is greater than the threshold, determine whether a subscriber system associated with the first wireless network may be instructed to join a second wireless network so that the impact of the request to support the event is less than the threshold;
- and
- if the subscriber system may be instructed to join the second wireless network, instruct the subscriber system to join the second wireless network.
5 more elements
A system comprising:
- means for receiving a request to support an event in a first wireless network in a first configuration;
- means for identifying an impact of the request on the first wireless network;
- means for determining whether the impact of the request to support the event on the first wireless network is greater than a threshold;
- means for determining whether a subscriber system associated with the first wireless network may be instructed to join a second wireless network if the impact of the request to support the event is greater than the threshold, so that the impact of the request to support the event is less than the threshold;
- and
- means for instructing the subscriber system to join the second wireless network if the subscriber system may be instructed to join the second wireless network.
