Claims18
A method for treating or ameliorating chronic renal insufficiency in a mammal comprising:
- administering to said mammal a therapeutically effective amount of a polypeptide that comprises an amino acid sequence having at least 95% sequence identity with SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
A method for treating or ameliorating a cardiovascular condition associated with chronic renal failure in a mammal, the method comprising:
- administering to said mammal a therapeutically effective amount of a polypeptide that comprises an amino acid sequence having at least 95% sequence identity with SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
A method for treating or ameliorating a cardiovascular condition associated with chronic renal failure in a mammal, the method comprising:
- administering to said mammal a therapeutically effective amount of renalase, said renalase comprising an amino acid sequence that has at least 90% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 2, and is encoded by a polynucleotide comprising exons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of SEQ ID NO:1 or SEQ ID NO:3.
