Dynamic wireless backhaul

A method of communicating data comprising:

• from a plurality of backhaul sites that are each configured to wirelessly communicate with a particular access point, dynamically selecting at least a first backhaul site;
• dynamically configuring at least one transmission parameter used to communicate a first backhaul data stream between the access point and the first backhaul site, wherein the at least one transmission parameter is selected from a group consisting of a transmit power, a data encoding scheme, a modulation scheme, and a transmission protocol;
• dynamically selecting at least a second backhaul site;
• deriving the first backhaul data stream from a source data stream;
• deriving at least a second backhaul data stream from the source data stream;
• wirelessly communicating the first backhaul data stream between the access point and the first backhaul site;
• wirelessly communicating the second backhaul data stream between the access point and the second backhaul site;
• and
• combining the first backhaul data stream with the second backhaul data stream.
