Abstract
A liquid crystal display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a first panel comprising a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion has a height lower than of the second portion; a second panel facing the first panel; a spacer disposed between the first panel and the second panel and contacting the first portion of the first panel; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first panel and the second panel.
Claims13
A liquid crystal display device comprising:
- a first panel comprising a flat surface plate-like conductor first portion and a bar-like conductor second portion;
- a plurality of signal lines disposed in the second portion;
- a second panel facing the first panel;
- a pixel electrode formed on the first panel;
- a spacer disposed between the first panel and the second panel, contacting the flat surface plate-like conductor first portion of the first panel, overlapping the pixel electrode, and without overlapping the signal lines;
- and
- wherein the second panel comprises a light blocking member that faces the bar-like conductor second portion of the first panel and partly faces the flat surface plate-like conductor portion of the first panel, and
- wherein the spacer overlaps the light blocking member.
