Abstract
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for a remote control device. Means for detecting orientation of the remote control device couples to a processor. The processor changes a mode of operation of the remote control device in response to a change in the orientation.
Claims19
A device, comprising:
- a processor communicating with memory, the processor selecting one of multiple modes of operation based on an orientation, with each mode of operation controlling a different consumer electronics device, and the processor changing a mode of operation in response to a change in the orientation.
A system, comprising:
- a processor communicating with a motion detector, the processor receiving an orientation from the motion detector and changing a mode of operation of a remote control based on tilting of the remote control to select one of multiple modes of operation based on the orientation, with each mode of operation controlling a different consumer electronics device.
A remote control device, comprising:
- a processor communicating with memory, the processor detecting an orientation of the remote control device;
- and
- the processor changing a mode of operation of the remote control device in response to a change in the orientation.
A data storage area storing processor-readable instructions for:
- selecting one of multiple modes of operation based on an orientation, with each mode of operation controlling a different consumer electronics device, and changing a mode of operation in response to a change in the orientation.
