Abstract
The present application concerns concentrated protein formulations with reduced viscosity, which are particularly suitable for subcutaneous administration. The application further concerns a method for reducing the viscosity of concentrated protein formulations.
Claims21
A method of reducing the viscosity to about 50 cs or less of a subcutaneous formulation containing ≧100 mg/ml of a monoclonal antibody comprising the addition of a salt in an amount greater than 100 mM, wherein the salt is selected from the group consisting of arginine hydrochloride, sodium thiocyanate, ammonium thiocyanate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, calcium chloride, zinc chloride and sodium acetate.
