Abstract
The invention relates to live attenuated VDV1 (VERO-Derived Dengue serotype 1 virus) strains which have been derived from the wild-type dengue-1 strain 16007 by passaging on PDK and sanitization on Vero cells. The invention further relates to a vaccine composition which comprises a VDV1 strain.
Claims10
A live attenuated dengue-1 virus strain which comprises sequence SEQ ID NO:
- 3 wherein at least nucleotides at positions 5962 and 7947 are mutated, with the proviso that the following nucleotides are not mutated:
- 1323, 1541, 1543, 1545, 1567, 1608, 2363, 2695, 2782, 5063, 6048, 6806, 7330, and 9445.
An immunogenic composition comprising a live attenuated dengue-1 virus strain which comprises sequence SEQ ID NO:
- 3 wherein at least nucleotides at positions 5962 and 7947 are mutated, with the proviso that the following nucleotides are not mutated:
- 1323, 1541, 1543, 1545, 1567, 1608, 2363, 2695, 2782, 5063, 6048, 6806, 7330, and 9445, in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
