Automated transaction processing system and approach

A transaction system for processing transaction information related to a transaction between one of multiple parties to the transaction and another one of the parties to the transaction, the system comprising:

• a programmed central processing terminal, remotely situated relative to the different parties, programmed to
• store and provide data for at least one contract under which the parties to the transaction have agreed is a basis for the transaction,
• compare elements of the transaction information, including the identity of at least two parties, with user profile information associated with the parties,
• automatically generate a set of common transaction information that identifies the transaction as a function of the comparison, the common transaction information including different user profile information from the one and the other one of the parties, and
• authenticate the transaction using the generated transaction identification information and using a set of data that includes the identities of the two parties,
• wherein the identity of at least one of the parties is provided to another one of the parties.

In an environment of multiple parties to a transaction, a system for processing transaction information related to a transaction between one of the parties and another one of the parties, the system comprising:

• a central processing terminal, remotely situated relative to the different parties, programmed to
• compare elements of the transaction information with user profile information associated with the parties,
• automatically generate a set of common transaction information that identifies the transaction as a function of the comparison, the common transaction information including different user profile information from the one and the other one of the parties, and
• authenticate the transaction using the generated transaction identification information, wherein the central processing terminal is configured to compare elements of the transaction information that include the identity of at least two parties and to authenticate the transaction using a set of data that includes the identities of the two parties, wherein the identity of at least one of the parties is provided to another one of the parties.

For operation by a computer arrangement including at least one programmed computer, a method for facilitating transactions involving merchant offerings among parties including shippers and carriers, aspects of each transaction being characterized by transaction-based documents that are respectively provided by different parties to the transaction, the method being performed by said at least one programmed computer remotely situated from the parties and comprising:

• identifying attributes for a common transaction, the identified attributes being carried by at least two respective transaction-based documents as respectively provided from the different parties to the common transaction,
• using the identified attributes from the at least two respective transaction-based documents to construct a plurality of transaction-profile attributes in a particular one of a plurality of anchor storage locations, the constructed transaction-profile attributes identifying the common transaction, and
• in response to an additional transaction-based document for the common transaction carrying the identified attributes, using the constructed transaction-profile attributes in the particular anchor location and data in the additional transaction-based document to audit and advance progress toward completion of the transaction;
• wherein said at least one programmed computer compares elements of the transaction information, including the identity of at least two parties, and authenticates the transaction using a set of data that includes the identities of the two parties, wherein the identity of at least one of the parties is provided to another one of the parties.

A computer-based system for facilitating transactions involving merchant offerings among parties including shippers and carriers, aspects of each transaction being characterized by transaction-based documents that are respectively provided by different parties to the transaction, the system comprising:

• data storage means including a plurality of anchor storage locations for storing a plurality of transaction-profile attributes that correspond to a transaction;
• means, remotely situated relative to the different parties, for identifying attributes for a common transaction, the identified attributes being carried by at least two respective transaction-based documents as respectively provided from the different parties to the common transaction,
• using the identified attributes from the at least two respective transaction-based documents to construct a plurality of transaction-profile attributes in a particular one of a plurality of anchor storage locations, the constructed transaction-profile attributes identifying the common transaction, and
• using, in response to an additional transaction-based document for the common transaction carrying the identified attributes, the constructed transaction-profile attributes in the particular anchor location and data in the additional transaction-based document to audit and advance progress toward completion of the transaction;
• wherein the computer-based system compares elements of the transaction information, including the identity of at least two parties, and authenticates the transaction using a set of data that includes the identities of the two parties, wherein the identity of at least one of the parties is provided to another one of the parties.
