Abstract
In one embodiment, a system for dynamically tasking one or more surveillance resources includes a first logical layer identifying a collection requirement (CR) and a second logical layer identifying one or more surveillance resources in the CR. Each of the surveillance resources includes one or more sensors. The system also includes a third logical layer specifying how each of the sensors in the surveillance resources in the CR should carry out surveillance.
Claims23
A system for dynamically tasking one or more surveillance resources, the system comprising:
- a first logical layer that when executed causes a machine to identify a collection requirement (CR);
- a second logical layer that when executed causes a machine to identify one or more surveillance resources in the CR, each of the surveillance resources comprising one or more sensors;
- and
- a third logical layer that when executed causes a machine to control in at least one aspect how each of the sensors in the surveillance resources in the CR should carry out surveillance, whereby a central authority element has authority over which sensors should be used in the surveillance for selected targets and authority over a timing parameter for the surveillance of the selected targets.
A method for dynamically tasking one or more surveillance resources, the method comprising:
- using a first logical layer, identifying a collection requirement (CR);
- using a second logical layer, identifying one or more surveillance resources in the CR, each of the surveillance resources comprising one or more sensors;
- and
- using a third logical layer, controlling in at least one aspect how each of the sensors in the surveillance resources in the CR should carry out surveillance, whereby a central authority element has authority over which sensors should be used in the surveillance for selected targets and authority over a timing parameter for the surveillance of the selected targets.
A system for dynamically tasking one or more surveillance resources, the system comprising:
- means for identifying a collection requirement (CR);
- means for identifying one or more surveillance resources in the CR, each of the surveillance resources comprising one or more sensors;
- and
- means for controlling in at least one aspect how each of the sensors in the surveillance resources in the CR should carry out surveillance, whereby a central authority element has authority over which sensors should be used in the surveillance for selected targets and authority over a timing parameter for the surveillance of the selected targets.
