Abstract
A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for use with an information storage medium including ENAV buffer configuration information includes: an ENAV buffer in which an ENAV file is loaded; and an ENAV engine which interprets and reproduces the ENAV file, wherein the ENAV engine allocates at least a portion of the ENAV buffer as an updateable markup area on the basis of ENAV buffer configuration information, reads the ENAV file, and loads the ENAV file in the ENAV buffer.
Claims25
An information storage medium for use in a recording and/or reproducing apparatus, the recording and/or reproducing apparatus comprising an ENAV buffer, the information storage medium comprising:
- an ENAV file containing ENAV data;
- and
- ENAV buffer configuration information that the recording and/or reproducing apparatus uses to allocate at least a portion of the ENAV buffer into which the ENAV file is to be loaded to be an updateable markup area when the information storage medium is used in the recording and/or reproducing apparatus;
- wherein:
- the updateable markup area of the ENAV buffer is an area to store at least one ENAV file that requires updating;
- and
- the information storage medium is a physical information storage medium that is readable by the recording and/or reproducing apparatus.
An information storage medium for use in a recording and/or reproducing apparatus in an interactive mode, the recording and/or reproducing apparatus comprising a buffer, the information storage medium comprising:
- first data to be reproduced by the recording and/or reproducing apparatus with an interactive file in the interactive mode when the information storage medium is used in the recording and/or reproducing apparatus;
- and
- allocation information that the recording and/or reproducing apparatus uses to allocate a portion of the buffer to be reserved for an interactive type of the interactive file prior to the interactive file being loaded when the information storage medium is used in the recording and/or reproducing apparatus;
- wherein the information storage medium is a physical information storage medium that is readable by the recording and/or reproducing apparatus.
