Abstract
A device for determining a time of arrival of a receive sequence in a receiver includes a correlation for determining a correlation value sequence from a correlation of the receive sequence with a transmit sequence, wherein the correlation sequence includes a peak shape having a main maximum and at least one local side maximum. The device further includes a processor to determine a point of the correlation sequence which lies within an interval which is on the one side bounded by the local side maximum and on the other side by the peak shape, and which is implemented to determine the time of arrival depending on the point.
Claims14
A device for determining a time of arrival of a receive sequence in a receiver, comprising:
- a correlator which is implemented to determine a correlation sequence from a correlation of the receive sequence with a transmit sequence, wherein the correlation sequence comprises a peak shape having a main maximum;
- and
- a processor which is implemented to determine a point of the correlation sequence which lies within an interval which abuts on the main maximum, and which is implemented to determine the time of arrival depending on the point.
A computer apparatus for determining a time of arrival of a receive sequence in a receiver, said apparatus comprising:
- a correlator module determining a correlation sequence from a correlation of the receive sequence with a transmit sequence, wherein the correlation sequence comprises a peak shape having a main maximum;
- and
- a processor determining a point of the correlation sequence which lies within an interval which abuts on the main maximum, and determining the time of arrival depending on the point.
A computer-readable medium containing a set of instructions that cause a computer to perform a process of performing the method for determining a time of arrival of a receive sequence in a receiver, comprising:
- determining a correlation sequence from a correlation of the receive sequence with a transmit sequence by means of a correlator, wherein the correlation sequence comprises a peak shape having a main maximum;
- and
- determining a point of the correlation sequence which lies within an interval which abuts on the main maximum, and determining the time of arrival depending on the point by means of a processor.
