Abstract
Surface emitting laser arrays with intra-cavity harmonic generation are coupled to an optical system that extracts harmonic light in both directions from an intra-cavity nonlinear optical material in such a way that the focusing properties of the light beams are matched.
Claims8
An optical system comprising:
- a laser from which a harmonic light beam is coupled by an intra-cavity dichroic beam splitter;
- a lens placed one focal length away from the waist of the harmonic light beam;
- and,
- a mirror placed one focal length away from the lens on the opposite side of the lens from the waist.
